Over 140 years ago the owner of the plot that is now home to Can Simoneta got a recommendation from his doctor to take frequent sea baths. That was the motivation to build a house by the cliff, as close to the sea as possible. It was not until 2004 after a careful and tasteful renovation process that Can Simoneta opened its doors as the five-star hotel it is until today.
Divided into three buildings – Can Nofre, the main house, the beach house and the private Grand Suite – it now offers a total of 26 rooms on a 150.000m2 plot. Privacy, exclusivity and a dream location are the starting point for a unique experience at a hotel like no other.

The restaurant at Can Simoneta, with breath-taking views, offers a wonderful terrace to celebrate Mediterranean gastronomy prepared carefully by a team led by chef David Moreno. Originally from Mexico, David finds inspiration in Majorcan cuisine due to its uniqueness and authenticity. After studying at ‘Le Cordon Bleu’ in Mexico, he worked as a chef in Argentina, Thailand, Japan and Canada before landing in Barcelona, where he continued his training as a pastry chef at ‘Espai Sucre’. Before taking over the kitchen at Can Simoneta he worked 4 years as the head chef at Andreu Genestra’s restaurant. At Can Simoneta he’s making the most of mixing Majorcan and Mexican flavours with influences from all over the world with the help of a first-class team, the sommelier Nene García and his sous chef, Edgar Rodríguez.

Last, but not least, we would like to let you know that Can Simoneta is opening its doors on March the 26th 2021 for the season. Not only have we implemented new protocols and put in place safety and hygiene measures to welcome you, but we’ve also recently signed an agreement with the largest hospital group in Spain, so that we would take care of absolutely everything in case any of our guests would need medical assistance. At Can Simoneta our guest’s wellbeing and safety is our priority.
